The Center for Advanced Studies (FCS-UNC) is a postgraduate institution that conducts multidisciplinary teaching and research activities. Established by Resolution No. 105/90 of the UNC Higher Council (HCS), it aims to enhance the quality of education and elevate the status of postgraduate scientific research. Consequently, it promotes research in defined priority areas, as well as exchanges involving scientists and young scholarship recipients with both domestic and foreign universities. To achieve these objectives, the Center runs various programs designed to:

Conduct, implement, and coordinate multidisciplinary postgraduate studies—in all forms and at all levels—linked to teaching, research, and outreach activities, while fostering scientific exchange with local, national, and international institutions.
Conduct research across various fields of knowledge on topics with multidisciplinary components.
Foster an environment for organizing and executing multidisciplinary postgraduate academic development projects, thereby maximizing the use of available local human and material resources.
